Ist unsere Welt wirklich fragil geworden? Vermeintlich stabilen politischen Gewissheiten, gesellschaftlichen Wahrheiten, Identitäten, Ökosystemen, Infrastrukturen, Ökonomien und internationalen Beziehungen – allem scheint plötzlich ein Haltbarkeitsdatum eingeschrieben zu sein. Der Moment der Krise ist zur Signatur unseres so jungen Jahrhunderts geworden.
Wie wirkt sich das auf uns, auf Chemnitz, auf die Kunst und ihre Produktion aus? Mit dem Pochen Symposium wollen wir uns den Antworten auf diese Fragen nähern. Mit verschiedenen Formaten zum Austausch und zur Vernetzung besprechen wir mit euch was uns allen zur Biennale 2024 künstlerisch wie diskursiv bevorsteht.
Ein besonderes Augenmerk soll dabei den lokalen und globalen Herausforderungen des osteuropäischen Raums gelten. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltungen reflektieren wir mit euch den gemeinsamen Erfahrungsraum Ost und leiten wichtige Impulse für politische sowie kulturelle Bildung ab.
Sei dabei, lerne Sichtweisen aus Chemnitz, Deutschland, Ost- und Mitteleuropa kennen (unerwartet), vernetze dich (synergie) mit den über 40 lokalen, regionalen und europäischen Partner:innen und bereichere das Symposium mit deiner Position, der deines Vereins oder deiner Institution (statement).

Has our world really become fragile? Supposedly stable political certainties, social truths, identities, ecosystems, infrastructures, economies and international relations - everything suddenly seems to have an expiry date inscribed on it. The moment of crisis has become the signature of our so young century.
How does this affect us, Chemnitz, art and its production? With the Pochen Symposium, we want to approach the answers to these questions. With various formats for exchange and networking, we will discuss with you what we all have in store for the Biennale 2024, both artistically and discursively.
Special attention will be paid to the local and global challenges of the Eastern European region. Within the framework of the events, we will reflect with you on the common experience of the East and derive important impulses for political and cultural education.
Be there, get to know perspectives from Chemnitz, Germany, Eastern and Central Europe (unexpected), network (synergy) with over 40 local, regional and European partners and enrich the symposium with your position, that of your association or institution (statement).
