“Film ab” heißt es vom 2. bis 4. November beim ersten PERSPEKTIVEN Filmfestival für Menschenrechte im Kino Metropol.
Das Kulturhaus Arthur präsentiert zusammen mit dem Programm neue unentd_ckte narrative/ASA-FF e.V. und dem Kino Metropol aktuelle gesellschaftliche Themen im besonderen Gewand: Das Augenmerk liegt auf dem jugendlichen Blickwinkel. So erwartet Sie ein Programm, das von einer sechs-köpfigen Jugendfilmjury kuratiert wurde, die im Rahmen des Projektes „zum bei-SPIEL:MENSCHENRECHTE!“ aus dem Kulturhaus Arthur begleitet werden.
Verhandelt werden in dem 3-tägigen Programm Themen, welche die Jugendlichen persönlich besonders bewegen. Es geht aber auch um gesamtgesellschaftliche Fragen und Zusammenhänge wie beispielsweise Frauenrechte, Migration und politischen Aktivismus. Gezeigt werden aktuelle deutsche und internationale Streifen, meist be-gleitet von Gesprächsformaten.
Mit dabei ist beispielsweise die Oscar nominierte und mehrfach preisgekrönte Animadok “Flee” (2021, Dänemark) von Jonas Roher Rasmussen. “Wir haben den Film unter anderem ausgewählt, weil die Beschreibung der Handlung und der Animationen Emotionen greifbar machen. Der Lerneffekt geschieht über die Animation”, heißt es von der Jugendjury. Besonders ist auch der Eröffnungsfilm. Die Wahl fiel auf “Ukraine - Overcoming The Darkness” (2022) aus der Ukraine, den die Jugendlichen bei einer Recherchereise zum One World Filmfestival in Prag sahen und der nach heu-tigem Stand noch keinen deutschen Verleih hat. Als besonderen Programmpunkt plant das Festivalteam den Auftritt einer Schulband vom André-Gymnasium. Mit ihrer ukrainischen Klassenkameradin performen sie unter anderem ein Antikriegslied, mit dem sie am bundesweiten “Eine Welt-Song” Wettbewerb teilnahmen.

🎬 "Film ab" is the motto of the first PERSPEKTIVEN Film Festival for Human Rights at the Metropol cinema from November 2 to 4.
The Kulturhaus Arthur, together with the program neue unentd_ckte narrative/ASA-FF e.V. and the Kino Metropol, presents current social issues in a special guise: the focus is on the youthful point of view. Thus, you can expect a program curated by a six-member youth film jury, accompanied by the project "zum bei-SPIEL:MENSCHENRECHTE!" from the Kulturhaus Arthur.
The 3-day program deals with topics that are of particular personal concern to the young people. However, the program also deals with issues and contexts that affect society as a whole, such as women's rights, migration and political activism. Current German and international films are shown, usually accompanied by discussion formats.
For example, the Oscar-nominated and multiple award-winning animadocumentary "Flee" (2021, Denmark) by Jonas Roher Rasmussen is included. " We have chosen the film, among other things, because the description of the plot and the animations make emotions tangible. The learning effect happens through the animation," says the youth jury. The opening film is also special.
The choice fell on "Ukraine - Overcoming The Darkness" (2022) from Ukraine, which the young people saw during a research trip to the One World Film Festival in Prague and which, as things stand today, does not yet have a German distributor. As a special program item, the festival team is planning the performance of a school band from André-Gymnasium. Together with their Ukrainian classmate, they will perform, among other things, an anti-war song with which they participated in the nationwide "One World Song" competition.
